Supporters Can Help Double the Donation to $10,000 by Voting for their Agent Giving Story
St. Petersburg, Fla. — Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance have awarded Comegys Insurance Agency a 2025 Make More Happen Award for its partnership with Men in the Making, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring young men through life skills training, education and positive role modeling. The award includes an initial donation of $5,000 for Men in the Making, which can be doubled to $10,000 by having community supporters vote online.
Starting May 5, the Comegys Insurance Agency and Men in the Making community story will be highlighted on the official Make More Happen microsite at https://www.agentgiving.com/comegys-insurance-agency, where supporters can vote to help the team reach their donation goal. If the featured story receives a mix of at least 500 votes and comments, the $5,000 donation will be raised to $10,000.
The $10,000 donation would provide support for Men in the Making by funding programs that emphasize academic excellence, social responsibility, emotional stability and cultural acuity. Through holistic role modeling and mentoring, the investment will enhance curriculum development and exposure outings, providing young men with transformative experiences that shape their future success. The funds will directly contribute to mentorship sessions, leadership training and real-world learning opportunities, reinforcing our commitment to empowering the next generation.

Comegys Insurance Agency has been actively involved with Men in the Making for several years, providing mentorship, sponsoring the annual leadership summit and scholarship programs, and helping fund educational opportunities. Each summer, the agency organizes a back-to-school supply drive, and every December, they participate in a holiday gift drive. Additionally, the Comegys Insurance Agency team hosts an annual career workshop to equip participants with financial literacy and professional development skills.

Throughout 2025, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications showcasing their commitment to a specific cause.
